LectureTools for Students

The image to the right illustrates an instance of what a student sees in LectureTools. Alphabetical points added to the figure illustrate functionalities listed below.

  • Choose for the list of courses that have adopted LectureTools.
  • Type notes, synchronized with the lecture slides.
  • Self-assess your confidence in understanding the material being discussed.
  • Pose a question during lecture that will stream on the instructor’s web site and the web site of the assigned assistants where they can post responses without the name of the questioner attached.
  • Pop up each lecture slide, draw on it and save the drawing.
  • Respond to a question. Clicking there offers the question for consideration.
  • After class, view a podcast if the instructor offers this option.
  • List the slides and their notes to print (3 slides to a page) for off-line review.

  • Popup window “I” lists questions (from “D” with names removed) with answers from the instructor or their assistants.
