LectureTools for Instructors
The
image to the right illustrates an instance of what a student sees in LectureTools.
Alphabetical points added to the figure illustrate functionalities listed
below.
- Add new lecture slides from PowerPoint or KeyNote (first save as JPEG or PNG files in those programs, then upload — your lecture order is maintained)
- Alternatively or in addition you can add slides you previously uploaded that are stored in your image library.
- Manually reorder slides after upload if you wish, then
- Save the revised slide order to preserve the new presentation order
You also have the following options available:
- Use LectureTools as a presentation tool, which allows you to draw on the slide (on either Windows or Mac!) and save the revised image for students to view.
- Check class attendance
- View student responses to questions posed in class.
- Moderate questions from students during or after lecture.
- Create responder questions:
- Similarly, you can also use the tools under "Prepare Lecture" to:
- Upload animations (e.g. Quicktime, Flash) and embed them in your presentation.
- Upload a podcast for the lecture
